Integrity: We are dedicated to maintaining honesty, transparency, and ethical practices in all our interactions and decisions.

Collaboration: We emphasize the importance of working together, leveraging the strengths of each individual, and building partnerships to enhance the well-being of families and the community.

Our History

Parents’ Place was founded in 1993 by a group of dedicated individuals with a shared vision: to establish a Family Resource Centre in Yarmouth, NS. This was made possible through the funding of the Health Canada Community Action Program.

In 1998, Parents’ Place relocated to their current location on Barnard St, to a home-style center to provide our clients with a sense of comfort and security when coming through our doors.

In 2003, funding was received from the Nova Scotia Department of Community Services which allowed us to start providing various programs in our facility.

Since then, Parents’ Place continues to evolve in order to better suit the needs of the current community.
